Goal:
“To reduce under-nutrition among children aged 6-59 months.”

Objectives
1.To rehabilitate children 6-59 months of age with moderate acute malnutrition
2.To reduce and prevent mortality and morbidity of under five children, pregnant and
lactating women by providing supplementary food ration and by treating moderately
acute malnourished (MAM) beneficiaries.
3. To improve health and nutrition knowledge, IYCF and care practices of mothers or
caregivers of under-five children especially those of MAM children through behavioral
change communication

Specific Objective
1.To reduce malnutrition rate by providing supplementary food ration and by treating
moderately acute malnourished beneficiaries in (5) Townships of Rakhine state start
from 1st January to 31st December 2019
2.To improve health and nutrition knowledge, IYCF and care practices of mothers or
caregivers of under-five children in (5) townships of Rakhine State namely Kyauktaw,
Minbya, Mrauk U, Sittwe and Pauktaw Townships

1) Conduct the anthropometric measurement of the targeted population and treat or refer malnourished beneficiaries with fortified ration (RUSF/WSB)
2) Health education sessions on nutrition, about Infant and Young Child Feeding Counseling (IYCF)

3) Cooking Demonstration in the community level
